Hi Everyone. I hope that you all enjoyed whatever holiday it is you chose to celebrate.
I have added a new page to my blog. It is a story that I am going to write, little by little, going back to edit as I move forward.
I have always loved to write. From as early as I can remember, teachers, my parents, friends, have always told me that I was a great story teller. In fact, when my friends and I would play PnP (Pen and Paper) Role Playing Games, I would usually be the Game Master, as I was the one who usually found it the easiest to come up with Campaigns (i.e. stories) for the the players to adventure through. I have been trying to write a story for years, and I just never find the time to write. Having three kids kind of does that to your spare time.
Anyways, when watching the “Lord of the Rings: Extended Edition” special features, I learned that Tolkien wrote the Lord of the Rings as a serial that he would send off to his son who was fighting in the war (I think WWII). This got me thinking of the idea of writing my story a little at a time and publishing what I had so far.
I don’t know if this is going to work. As you can see, I find it hard enough to find time to write Blog posts, so finding the time to write a story as well may be too difficult. Who know. I think I’ll just give it a try and see how it goes.
Oh, and WOO HOOO(!!!!!!). The wife just said that, if we can afford it, she’ll by me a Wii for my Birthday. YEAH! Oh, and if anyone who works for Nintendo happens to be reading this post, I would love to do a review of the Wii if you want the send me a free unit!
